Niall started Crannog Roofing in 2001. Coming from a strong carpentry background, Crannog began as a modest roofing company primarily dealing with timber carcassing and slating / tiling.
Since then, Crannog has evolved into a multifaceted construction company with a strong portfolio of various roofing aspects including flat roof; PVCs, GRPs, Paralon, Resitrix etc and metal roofs/facades; copper, zinc, aluminium, prefa, PLX.
Niall has always had a passion for developing new skills/technologies and is largely responsible for bringing these products to the company along with recently advancing our interest in heritage and conservation works.
Niall is also responsible for quality control and managing employees on site as well as training individuals into new roles/trades and overseeing that, above all else, Health and Safety systems are adequately in place.
With Crannog Fibreglass; Niall is in charge of training with our various courses taking place throughout the year.
David joined Crannog Roofing as a Director in 2003. A carpenter-by-trade, David qualified from his apprenticeship in 2001 with DKIT bringing over 20 years roofing experience to the company.
Prior to Crannog he spent time working in New York and Ireland as a project manager with a role of motivating teams and delivering quality to complete large scale residential & commercial developments.
At Crannog, David is at the forefront of the company; meeting clients & negotiating contracts, overseeing all employees, coordinating teams to deliver projects to a high standard and within budget.
With Crannog Fibreglass; David manages sales and quality control with all our customers ensuring they receive the best value product available on the market.
Siobhan joined Crannog Roofing in 2001. Siobhan was initially solely responsible for the accounts and, with her introduction, brought more financial stability to us.
Siobhan has over 20 years’ experience working in accounts and her role includes processing supplier invoices, processing payments run, customer invoicing, debtor/creditor reconciliations, processing of weekly payroll, assisting in assembling information for external auditors for the annual audit, managing Crannog employee’s paperwork, management of subcontractors timekeeping and invoices for RCT Returns on ROS, managing the office to include general administration, management of Sage Micropay.
Shane graduated from GMIT in 2010, with an Bachelor’s degree in Construction Economics & Quantity Surveying, and subsequently completed his Honours degree in Building Surveying in 2016 with DKIT.
Shane is now a Senior QS in our team having joined us in 2016 with a broad range of construction-related experience for numerous companies in Ireland and abroad.
Within Crannog, Shane is involved in a variety of roles including estimating and tendering for projects, assisting in the measurement of proposed projects, executing and agreeing contracts with main contractors and sub-contractors, dealing with queries raised from sub-contractors, agreeing costs and purchasing from suppliers, overseeing health and safety, liaising with on-site foremen and submitting payment claims, O&M manuals and interim project reports to main contractors.
