Meet the Team
David joined Crannog Roofing as a director in 2003. He qualified as a carpenter in 2001 (DKIT) then spent time working firstly in New York and then back in Ireland as a Project Manager, leading teams on large scale residential and commercial developments.
At Crannog, David is at the forefront of the company – meeting clients, negotiating contracts, overseeing employees and training, and co-ordinating teams to deliver projects to the highest standard and within budget.
With sister company Crannog Fibreglass he manages sales and quality control, ensuring customers receive the best value product on the market.
Niall founded Crannog Roofing in 2001. Coming from a strong carpentry background, Niall began the company as a began as small business primarily dealing with timber carcassing and roof slating and tiling.
Niall has always had a passion for developing new skills and as the range and complexity of our projects has increased, he is largely responsible for introducing new technology into our processes, as well as developing our increasing breadth of expertise in heritage and conservation works.
Niall also heads up quality control, managing employees on site and training operatives into new roles and trades. He is also responsible for implementation of Health and Safety standards.
With sister company Crannog Fibreglass, Niall organises and usually teaches the training courses we run throughout the year.
Shane is our senior QS, having joined us in 2016. He brings a wealth of experience in a wide range of construction projects in Ireland and abroad. Shane graduated from GMIT in 2010 with a Batchelor’s Construction Economics & Quantity Surveying, and subsequently completed his Honours degree in Building Surveying in 2016 with DKIT.
His role includes liaising directly with contractors and sub-contractors, estimating and tendering for projects, measurement and survey, contracts, agreeing costs, purchasing, overseeing health and safety, submitting payment claims, O&M manuals and interim project reports to main contractors. He also records our projects with drone photography.
Siobhán joined Crannog Roofing in 2001 and her role has expanded as the company has grown – from bookkeeping and accounts to managing several key HR aspects of the company.
The role includes everything from customer invoicing, payroll, assisting external auditors for our annual audit, managing paperwork for employees and subcontractors, managing PAYE and RCT systems, and implementing financial best practice across all of our operations.
